HUNG UP, LET DOWN (2022)

This installation was made thanks to support of the Canada Council. I translated the various lines and strokes in my drawings into metal so as to spatialize graphic properties of the line such as weight, thickness, and speed. I do not see this work as a drawing in space, but as a drawing turned sculptural by being removed from its ground. This is why one side of the line is often left white. On the other hand, I started polishing some of the sculptures, which removes them even further from drawing. They have become sculptural lines.
