BEATING THE BUSH (2015)
This show, curated by Blair Fornwald at the Dunlop Art Gallery, Sherwood Branch in Regina, Canada, is one iteration of a multi-year project started in 2014 during a Canada Council London Residency, where I photographed an English Laurel in Regents Park and later used the photographs of leaves as brushstrokes for collages. The work eventually evolvedinto a public art project, Reorganization of One Hedge, for the subway system in Toronto installed in 2023. The work is about perception and methods of reordering sense data.
