BUILDING DISASTER (2011)

This work was composed from repeating images of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Stalin's "gift to Poland." Here it is installed in New York, the site of the 2008 financial crisis and 9-11. The palace looks almost indiscernibly like American capitalist turn-of-the-century architecture bringing together two opposing ideologies and warning of the dangers of both.
